Bob & Ellen Alderink

Innkeepers since 2014

Bob and Ellen have been innkeepers at the Ludington House since August of 2014. Before that they both were long-time employees at Calvin College in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Both worked as in-house graphic designers.

Bob grew up in Holland, Michigan and Ellen in Hudsonville. They have two adult children, Emily and Dan who come by on occasion to spend time with their parents, enjoy the beaches and see their beloved pet Daisey.

Bob is our amazing chef, groundskeeper and handyman. Interests for Bob include reading, creating bow-ties, exploring the internet sites for victorian home ideas and keeping up with friends on facebook. Ellen oversees the housekeeping, does the marketing and other office work. She has a creative side that may result in a painting or other art project.  Both Ellen and Bob keep their hands in graphic design on a freelance basis.

In the less busy times they often head to Ludington State Park and hike the trails. Daisey enjoys that too!
