Nautical Yarn & The Ludington House
present a Weekend with THE WEEKENDER!

During the weekend of April 6, 7 & 8th, Nautical Yarn guests will be knitting Andrea Mowry's The Weekend Sweater.

On Friday Night, Nautical Yarn will host a brief fitting class with a light pizza and salad dinner. The Weekender is an oversized sweater and doesn't require a lot of fitting, but we will cover the basics of garment fitting. You will also knit and block your swatch to be measured Saturday morning.

Saturday morning, we will begin to cover the skills required for the sweater including Tubular cast on. You will be able to cast on the stitches for your sweater and begin work on the bottom hems and body of the sweater.

After lunch on Saturday, we will cover the shoulder shaping skills required including two methods of short-row shaping.

Following Saturday evening dinner, a knitting party will be held at the Lamplighter Bed & Breakfast in Ludington. Everyone is invited to knit with friends and enjoy refreshments.

Sunday morning, we will learn two bind-off skills including 3-needle bind-off and Tubular bind off with Kitchener stitch.

All classes will take place at Nautical Yarn located at 108 S Rath Avenue in downtown Ludington.

The Weekender sweater takes (915/XS, 1015/S, 1130/M, 1265/L, 1385/XL, 1520/XXL, 1640/XXXL) yds of worsted weight yarn.
Also, size 7, 8, and 9 needles are required, but we suggest you bring sizes 5 through 10 circular needles in 40" length.

The cost to participate in this class is $125, plus a 2-night stay reserved at one of the following locations:

     Candlelite Inn Bed & Breakfast

The Ludington House Bed & Breakfast

The Lamplighter Bed & Breakfast of Ludington

15% off room rate for all class participants at Ludington House. Call 800-827-7869 to book your room and a spot in the workshop.
